Photography for me has always been a tool in which I can intimately connect to the present moment, as well as reconnect my visual memory with the experience, documented via photo, of a time since past. My photographs are personal and raw, they are of people, places, and experiences shared between us. They are of us, about us, for us, they are not trying to be anything they are not. Yet they stand with a greater purpose, their nostalgic undertones hopefully speak to the viewer in ways that allow personal reminiscing and reflection. My photographs work in unconstrained series, ignoring time frames has allowed me to focus on the people and places who have presented themselves throughout the continuum of my life. Each of the portfolios below is unique in that they highlight places I once lived, and people once known. However, these series share a common purpose, in which I hope to express and acknowledge the admiration and appreciation I feel for the experience’s life has given. It is my hope that viewers of these images see the subjects as the art, and the photo as the way of preserving the artistry of life. For it is the subject matter that allowed for their creation and supported my progression as a photographer.
